Desiree Johnson graduated from the University of Texas-San Antonio with a Bachelor in English and a professional writing concentration in spring 2012. Her aspirations are to become a published author for the Young Adult genre with an emphasis on culture and interracial relationships. She enjoys reading books of all types and is currently reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck, writing her manuscript, short stories, and flash fiction, watching movies, and working out as she awaits her acceptance to graduate school for the fall 2014 where she will pursue her Masters in Creative Writing. She currently works for Resource Corporation of America as Lead Patient Support Representative assisting uninsured patients with government programs.
