Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, and former U.S. President Bill Clinton, husband of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, will both be rallying for their respective campaigns on Monday, Feb. 29, one day before the Texas primary election on Tuesday.
U.S. Sen. Cruz will briefly appear at Alzafar Shrine Auditorium, 901 N. Loop 1604 West. To register for the free 2-4 p.m. event, click here.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, just days after he publicly endorsed Cruz, and former Gov. Rick Perry will attend the event to show their support while state Sen. Donna Campbell will provide opening remarks.
Bill will be stopping by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Theater, 723 Brazos St. The event is slated for 3-6 p.m.
“San Antonio is finally getting recognized as a place to be in the presidential race,” said Deborah Wall, volunteer outreach for Cruz’s South Central Texas campaign on Saturday. “We’ve just been really lucky to be on that Texas city tour, along with Houston and Austin.”
Attendees are advised to arrive early to find parking at both venues.
Voting sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. To find your Election Day voting site by street address, click here. To find your voting site by registration data, click here.
