The Rivard Report is seeking a skilled and experienced photojournalist for a full-time position in a fast-paced, growing startup environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and a proven track record of meeting short deadlines. Previous journalism education and or equivalent experience is vital. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours based on workflow and must be available on weekends and evenings for assignment work. The position also requires experience shooting and editing video on deadline. We are looking to fill this position immediately.
The Rivard Report is a hyperlocal news and information site with a full-time staff, a number of freelance contributors, and regular publication of submissions from individuals from all walks of life in San Antonio.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of quick photo editing software such as Adobe products
- Must supply own camera equipment and laptop computer capable of workload
- Writing skills (must be able to write on deadline and accurately caption images)
- Must have reliable transportation
