San Antonio’s own Charreada is the kind of event that makes our city unique, something San Antonio has that can’t be found in other major cities north of the border. That’s why I asked my good friend and portrait photographer, Josh Huskin to come out and experience the charreada, knowing he would turn in stellar results. Josh took the approach of taking portraits, as he does best. Carrying an extendable light stand with a bare flashbulb sitting firmly on the top, Josh set up and fired away as riders entered the stadium. The result: truly beautiful portraits of the performers and their loyal horses.
