Thursday night marked the opening night of the 2015 San Antonio Cocktail Conference, (SACC) bringing in thirsty attendees from all over the country. Every distillery, cocktail bar, and eatery within a 150 mile radius seemed to be well represented with a signature cocktail or dish at the Majestic Theatre.

Since this was my first cocktail conference experience I made sure to make multiple rounds around the historic theatre just to be sure I didn’t miss anything. This year guests were treated to a unique theatre set-up with a platform that stretched out over the seating to make a large ballroom at the base of the ornate theater stage.

Among all the beverage companies tucked away on the balcony was a man hand rolling cigars and as the night went on, auctions began to captivate the audience. SACC benefits four charities  – HeartGift of San Antonio, The Children’s Shelter, ChildSafe, and Transplants for Children. Items up for bid included private cocktail parties, trips to other cities, and the opportunity to create your own cocktail to be served for a good cause.

The San Antonio Cocktail Conference will be hosting seminars, hands-on classes, dinners, and (of course) cocktail parties throughout Sunday click here for the full schedule.
