This year Texas has one U.S. Senate seat up for reelection — considered one of Democrats’ few pickup opportunities in their efforts to retain a razor-thin majority (including independents who caucus with them) in the upper chamber.

Republicans, meanwhile, are fighting to keep control of the U.S. House of Representatives, where they have a 220-212 majority. Five U.S. House seats that include parts of Bexar County will be on the ballot this November.

Candidate information comes from Texas Secretary of State data, the candidates and other sources.
