Gov. Greg Abbott set April 21 as the runoff election date to fill Sen. José Menéndez’ seat in House District 124, a contest between two Democrats, San Antonio attorney Ina Minjarez and former City Councilmember Delicia Herrera.

Minjarez won 42% of the vote versus 28% for Herrera in the first round special election held March 31.

Early voting will begin Monday and end Friday at three locations: Bexar County Justice CenterGreat Northwest Library; and the Henry A. Guerra, Jr. Library. See map below.
