Amada Irma Pérez is an award-winning educator/author/poet. She has published bilingual children’s books including: My Diary from Here to There/Mi diario de aquí hasta allá (2002), Nana’s Big Surprise/Nana ¡Que sorpresa! (2007), A Life of Firsts: The Story of Gloria Molina (2014), and Mi práctico libro de escritura (2015). Amada’s stories are beloved for their humorous details and important universal themes. She has been to Macondo many times since 2004 and lives with her husband in Ventura, California.
