The four major candidates – incumbent Mayor Ivy Taylor, former state Rep. Mike Villarreal, former County Commissioner Tommy Adkisson, and former state Sen. Leticia Van de Putte – came together again at the Pearl Stable Tuesday night for the Rivard Report’s second Pints & Politics mayoral forum. As the May 9 City Election approaches, forums like these have become more lively than the earlier, more introductory forums.
During this forum, the gloves came off and the audience took note – applauding, cheering, laughing and just one bout of booing and hissing. Watch the entire event in the video above, produced by former Rivard Report intern Don Dimick and his colleague Brian Sanchez.

After the event, Robert Rivard conducted a short interview with three staff members from Overland Partners, an architecture firm nestled in the heart of the city which co-sponsored the event, to get a feel for their individual impressions of the candidates. Listen to a recap in the podcast below.
The Rivard Report organized the event with sponsors Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery, who provided craft beer for the occasion, the Pearl, and Overland Partners.
