Planning your visit to the depths of downtown San Antonio for some good ol’ fashioned Fiesta fun doesn’t have to feel like a daunting task. The staff and volunteers who organize the King William Fair have gathered various means of alternative transportation along with parking options.
Being prepared with your transportation plan helps the Fair achieve the City’s highest Green Event Certification level year after year, and sharing a ride or using a bicycle will go a long way.
Parking
Limited free parking spaces at the City of San Antonio Cliff Morton Development and Business Services Center (One Stop) parking lots located at 1901 and 1902 S. Alamo St. (at South Flores Street), which is less than an 8-minute walk to the fair admission gate on Guenther and King William streets.
There are paid parking spaces for $11 per vehicle located across the street from the Federal Building in Hemisfair at 727 E. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. (at Indianola Street) and for $10 per vehicle in the Alamodome’s Parking Lot B on South Cherry Street (at East Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard). You will need to take the VIA bus to the Fair once you have parked at the Alamodome, but don’t worry – the Fair is less than a mile from this parking location. VIA Bus Routes 26 and 30 both stop at the Alamodome and run approximately every 30 minutes. Regular bus fare is $1.30 per person one way.
There is limited parking throughout the remaining King William and Southtown area. Please pay attention to permanent and temporary parking restriction signs. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed. Fair visitors may park in nearby commercial lots and walk to the Fair. Some property owners and parking lots may have parking spaces for sale, typically between $10 and $30 per day.

SWell Cycle, formerly B-Cycle, will have staff on hand at its station at South Alamo at Pereida streets (across the street from Liberty Bar) to accommodate people who come to the Fair on SWell Cycles, taking and parking SWell Cycles even if the dock is full. Park north of downtown and enjoy a pleasant bike ride to the Fair from one of the SWell stations located at Pearl, The Witte, Summer Moon at Tripoint, or San Antonio Water System’s main office.
