The fun doesn’t have to end with Fiesta — get ready to chase down your favorite blanco tequila with some barbacoa taquitos because the Tacos & Tequila Festival is set to return for its second year at Retama Park in Selma on May 10.
Back by popular demand, the adults-only festival will feature live DJs, margarita bars, lucha libre wrestling, a chihuahua beauty pageant, a salsa and queso competition and of course, taco and tequila tasting options.
This year’s event aims to bring its attendees the ultimate throwback experience, featuring performances from iconic ’90s and 2000s hip-hop artists such as Lil Jon, Ginuwine, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Xzibit, Trick Daddy, Yung Joc and Grammy Award-winning rapper Murphy Lee.
The festival will also host an array of bites from local food trucks and restaurants, including: Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, Playa Bowls, Double A Barbecue, Rivas Tacos, The Booth Life, Powder Me Up Funnel Cakes, Chicken Buzz, Kain Na – Filipino Cuisine, Bombers SA, La Bandida Street Food and 3B BBQ.
Tickets start at $69 for general admission, $99 for general admission for two, or $159 for VIP admission, which includes front stage access, VIP entry, access to the VIP lounge, three craft margaritas, as well as a complimentary street taco flight. Tables and suites are also available for purchase.
