The Rivard Report is seeking a skilled photojournalist for a full-time position in a fast-paced, growing startup environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting short deadlines and a passion for visual storytelling. Candidates also should be wiling to work flexible hours based on workflow. Many assignments involve weekend and evening work.
The Rivard Report is a hyperlocal news and information site with a small full-time staff, a number of freelance contributors, and the regular publication of submissions from individuals from all walks of life in San Antonio. Editorial team members must be proficient in WordPress or be able to quickly learn how to work, edit, and produce content on a digital platform.
Other core skills:
- Knowledge of quick photo editing using Adobe products
- Must supply own camera equipment and computer capable of workload
- Writing skills (must be able to write on deadline and accurately caption images)
Helpful but not required:
- Experience shooting and editing video
- Prior work experience
