Happy first weekend of 2019! For all of those still recovering from holiday festivities and stress, take some time for a breather. But if you want to use the weekend to go out and have fun, we found some events for you.
First Friday Pub Run: Onesies
The first Friday of 2019 kicks off with an appropriately warm theme: onesies. Like with other pub runs, head to Pat O’Brien’s at 7 p.m. and make your way through 13 San Antonio bars with fellow costumed folk. The event is free, but drinks are not. Open to those 21 years old and older with ID.

Resolution Run at Woodlawn Lake Park
New year, new resolve to do healthy things. Fleet Feet is hosting a free run at Woodlawn Lake starting Saturday at 8 a.m., with a twist — for every lap completed around the lake, runners earn a raffle ticket. Raffle tickets go toward prizes such as a 90-minute massage, fitness class package, and a free yoga session. Make sure you’re prepared, as each lap is about 1.2 miles so multiple entries will require some stamina. There will also be lessons on mindfulness and injury prevention before the run starts. Learn more about the run here.
