Ken Paxton has served as Attorney General of Texas since 2015. He worked in corporate law before running for a seat in the Texas House in 2002, and was later elected to the Texas Senate representing Colin County. He knocked out U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) in an expensive GOP primary runoff, and faces Democrat James Talarico in November.
