Please tell voters about yourself.
My family and I moved to San Antonio back in 1996. During this time I attended SAC studying Radio Television and Broadcasting. My first job was working at WOAI where I was able to cut my teeth working on the morning news and the Living show. My time working in news was priceless, it helped me understand how important deadlines were.
My late twenties to my early thirties have shown me how hard it is to work in the news industry. However I learned that being a freelance contractor had its benefits. In my fifties I have seen the industry change in leaps and bounds.
List any previous experience in government or participation on local boards, commissions, or neighborhood associations.
This will be my third time to run for District 8. I have learned so much in such a little amount of time. Where policy decisions have serious implications that affect all of San Antonio.
In the city’s 2024-2025 budget survey, residents ranked homelessness, streets, housing and animal care services among their top concerns for the city to address. Which issues do you consider a top concern for District 8 and how would you work to address them in your first 100 days?
Road access is a big concern for many of our residents. With all of the road construction that seems to clog road, many wonder why these projects are in such close proximity of one another.
In a crowded field of council candidates, what differentiates you from the others?
As an outsider to the political structure of SA I pride myself as a team builder and Creative. My resume stems from manufacturing to the upper echelon of being a producer making a payroll to traveling the world working in the oil and gas industry working for the services department while living overseas.
If elected, how do you plan to solicit input and feedback from residents in your district?
The first thing I will do is have several town hall meetings asking the tough questions on how we should solve our generational debt which continues to grow at a torrent pace. The impute of the people and there grievances must be made public so that future generations can know the struggles facing our great city. Education and convergence is a great vehicle to use for the populist to gain raw knowledge of how corrupt San Antonio really is.
