Why should voters choose you?

Voters should choose me because I bring a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the courtroom. I also have the patience and temperament to be a good judge and will guarantee that everyone is heard and receives a fair trial and/or disposition. There will be no learning curve or uncertainty once I am elected. With nearly 100 jury trials, I will be ready to try cases from the first day I take office and will reduce the tremendous backlog of cases that has plagued County Court at Law No. 7.

What do you see as the top challenge facing our local court system, and how should it be addressed?

The delays in hearing and trying cases has become unbearable. I will address this by holding jury trials on a weekly basis and moving cases to a resolution. I will work towards reducing the number of pending cases to a more manageable number and will ensure that nobody languishes in jail without a hearing or trial date, and that nobody is denied access and the right to their day in court.
