The San Antonio AIDS Foundation’s WEBB Party kicked off the first Fiesta weekend in high fashion.
The WEBB Party, one of San Antonio’s most popular Fiesta events, celebrated its 24th year with the wild theme of “The Grand Menagerie.” Supporters dressed as creatures from the wild kingdom which added an exotic flare to this already glamorous celebration. Located at the Lambermont Estate on East Grayson Street, the WEBB Party has become SAAF’s biggest fundraiser which contributes 100% of the proceeds directly to client services which include medical treatment, social services, counseling, testing, and education of HIV and AIDS. With a night filled with exquisite food, never-ending drinks, and buzzing music it is a favorite among many Fiesta attendees throughout the city.
Speaking with the guests at the WEBB Party it was clear how much dedication and passion this community has for supporting the work performed by SAAF. I talked to Steve, a more than 10-year veteran of the celebration.
“My favorite thing is the people, meeting the people that would normally never go out and having fun with someone you’ve never met before,” he said.

Our conversation drifted to the impact SAAF has on the community and the importance of the “party with a purpose.”
“It’s very important because if we don’t have functions like this it won’t bring in the money to pay for all the people that need help,” he said. ” This does wonders because it brings in so much money to a facility and organization that is really doing good, and I love that.”
