The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District is hosting pop-up vaccination clinics across the city this week and into the weekend as health officials continue their push to make getting a COVID-19 vaccine as convenient as possible.

The first of 24 stops at sites across the city launched Tuesday. Most of the clinics are offering the two-dose Pfizer vaccine, while several are offering the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

As of Wednesday, more than 908,000 people in Bexar County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and about 727,000 residents are fully vaccinated. Of the roughly 1.6 million people ages 12 or older living in Bexar County, approximately 43.8% are fully vaccinated.
