As Texas deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, our thoughts and prayers are with the people in our state who were impacted by heavy winds, torrential rain, and flooding.

You may be aware that the Chamber was planning a luncheon on Thursday, August 31 with U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, to discuss efforts to deliver comprehensive tax reform in 2017. Chairman Brady represents areas north of Houston and received word that the airports will not be opening until Thursday afternoon, so he will not be able to make it to San Antonio in time. As a result, we are going to postpone the luncheon.

We will keep you posted on the future date, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

The mission of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is to be an advocate for all of our members and the business community in building and sustaining a diverse and prosperous economy.
