The Big Give SA consultant John Burnam, SAMMinistries President and CEO Navarra Williams, and San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition Vice President Nikki Poore recently sat down with me for a chat about their past and present experience with the day-long crowdfunding event set for May 5.
The day of giving targets the average San Antonian to donate as little as $10 to the nonprofit of their choice. Last year the fundraising event raised more than $2 million, which more than doubled their original goal, so, naturally, the Big Give expects to raise more money this year. Nearly twice the number of nonprofits are onboard this year, so The Big Give expects to incur twice the amount of money raised last year, bringing the goal from $2 million to $4 million.
