Hundreds of attendees gathered on Commerce Street in Downtown San Antonio onSaturday to experience the 2016 U.S. Military Veterans Parade. This year’s parade was dedicated to Army Air Corps World War II Veteran Fernando F. Reyes who passed away in 2012 at the age of 91.
Dozens of colorful floats made their way down Alamo Plaza as active duty military members marched throughout the streets, bearing flags and appropriate attire. Children and families watched from the sidelines and clapped as each new group made their way through downtown San Antonio.
Veteran families, advocates, and every day citizens wearing patriotic colors and waving flags were able to experience a moving fleet honoring the sacrifice and service of so many men and women who have bravely fought in the name of the United States of America.
