Ofrendas will light up Pearl once again for its Día de los Muertos celebration. This year, Pearl’s celebration has been expanded to include another day of programming.

The festivities will include ofrendas, live performances, workshops, activities, and food inspired by the holiday. The main event at Pearl will open Saturday, Nov. 1 and run through Nov. 2. The event’s communal procession starts at 7:15 p.m. on the last day.

Attendees can stop by La Gloria’s ofrenda or visit Pullman Market’s Mezquite, which is hosting a four-day celebration with a variety of events starting Oct. 30 through Nov. 2. Mezquite will have face painting and a live DJ booth Nov. 1-2. The last day will feature a Catrina costume contest at 8 p.m.

The celebration will also include Sabores de México at Pearl, a ticketed storytelling experience guiding guests through traditional gastronomy that pays tribute to the flavors and cultural heritage of Mexico. The culinary experience includes access to live-fire cooking stations, admission to an 8 p.m. concert inside Stable Hall, and a reserved viewing location for the Día de los Muertos procession. Tickets can be purchased here.

Hotel Emma is offering a dinner dedicated to the culinary traditions of Día de los Muertos on Nov. 2. Its ofrenda will be open for viewing from Monday Oct. 27 through Monday, Nov. 3. Those interested in the celebration dinner can purchase admission here.

The event at Pearl will feature children’s art activities hosted by the Consulado de México, roaming entertainers and live performances by Grupo Volcan on Sunday.
