Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and former San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro is on the vice presidential short list for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
The 41-year old San Antonio-native, who recently gave the keynote address at the Texas Democratic Convention in the city last weekend, is still politically young, but made strides in San Antonio as an influential City Councilmember and later as an effective Mayor before heading to Washington.
Some think he needs more experience, but others argue that Castro, a strong Latino leader with humble beginnings, will give Clinton’s campaign the edge it needs.
