Yadhira Lozano is the Head of Communications at the Briscoe Western Art Museum where she oversees marketing, public relations and programs. She has 20 years of professional experience in arts and culture working in both San Antonio, TX and Los Angeles, CA and over ten years museum experience working for the Briscoe Museum, Autry National Center and Southwest Museum of the American Indian. A San Antonio native, Ms. Lozano was active in the arts at a young age having been an original member of the Harlandale ISD Mariachi, a student at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, and volunteer at the San Antonio Conjunto Festival. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Southern California. She is currently active in arts advocacy with the National Association for Latino Arts & Culture and enjoys instilling her passion for the arts in her daughter.
