Toni Nelson was born and raised in San Antonio. Her family moved to Willowwood Estates in 1969. She is a proud resident of San Antonio’s east side where she attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School in her primary years then attended and graduated from SAISD’s Sam Houston High School. After graduation she attended Prairie View A&M University where she received a BBA in Accounting. The mother of 1 daughter, Candice, later returned to San Antonio where she worked for Alamo Colleges and the San Antonio Independent School district where she retired from in 2021.
