Mary Shepard was born and raised in Southern New Mexico and graduated from the University of North Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After working as an interior designer for 20 years, Shepard started painting full time. Her work is displayed at La Posada Gallery Collection in Santa Fe, Rivers Edge Gallery in Kerrville, New Braunfels Art League Gallery and the River Art Gallery in La Villita. She also teaches a watercolor class at New Braunfels Art League. She and her husband Lee live in Boerne.
