John D. Murphy Jr. is a professor and Dean of the College of Architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Although he grew up around the world in a military family, John attended high school in San Antonio and returned five years ago after being away for over 30 years. He's happy to be back and part of the resurgence of downtown.
