Dawn Thurmond is the Communications Manager for the San Antonio Food Bank where she is responsible for connecting the Food Bank to the community through the media and visual marketing. The goal of her department is to share the Food Bank’s story in ways that inspire people to act— by donating food, time, voice, or money. A transplant of El Paso, Texas, Dawn is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. The mission of the San Antonio Food Bank is to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education, and advocacy. The San Antonio Food Bank serves 58,000 people each week in 16 counties in Southwest Texas.
