Daniel Paul Rivera was born in San Antonio and attended Central Catholic before leaving to study philosophy at Amherst College. Unable to resist Pearl’s promise of a new age for the city, he eventually returned after graduating and now works as a copywriter at the city’s oldest ad agency.
