This year Bexar County will host a race for sheriff, two seats of the Bexar County Commissioners Court and one constable race. Candidate information comes from the Texas Secretary of State data, the candidates’ websites and other sources.

Salazar, age 53, was first elected sheriff in 2016, after serving 23 years with the San Antonio Police Department. At SAPD he worked his way up from patrolman to internal affairs investigator to communications director.

Uresti has served as Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector since 2012. He previously served as city manager for several small Texas municipalities.
