Voters approved a $20 million bond proposal in Somerset Independent School District.
Final vote counts showed 376 voters in Bexar and Atascosa counties voted for the bond and 271 voted against.
Somerset trustees proposed the $20 million bond package to fund security updates district-wide and the construction of a Fine Arts Center.
Voters last approved a bond in 2016. The $10 million package funded the construction of a new cafeteria at Somerset Elementary, athletic facilities for baseball and softball, a transportation facility, and upgrades to an FFA barn.
Somerset ISD straddles the county line between Bexar and Atascosa counties near Loop 1604. The district contains seven campuses and enrolled 4,156 students last school year. The majority of students are economically disadvantaged.
