HEMISFAIR

Watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks over the Tower of the Americas is as San Antonian as Barbacoa and Big Red. While the wildly popular Yanaguana Garden and the South Alamo Street celebrations will be free and open to the public, revelers looking to beat the crowds are invited to purchase tickets to a private event with unobstructed views of the Tower happening on Hemisfair’s Great Deck.

Each $400 ticket gets you a table for four on the heated deck, plus a bottle of champagne, Paella from Box Street Social, and special Hemisfair champagne flutes, hats and masks. Guests are even welcome to bring their own beer and wine to enjoy! Plastic wine glasses and cups will be provided. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the operations, maintenance and improvement of Hemisfair parks.

Any gift of $25 of more made to the Hemisfair Conservancy today through Monday, Dec. 28, will automatically enter you in a raffle to win a table for four. The $25 raffle ticket is not tax-deductible. Any additional contribution above the raffle ticket price is a charitable, tax deductible gift. Winners of the raffle will be announced Tuesday, Dec, 29. It’s a great way to celebrate this season of giving, while supporting beautiful urban parks in San Antonio.

The event, which seeks to raise funds for the Hemisfair redevelopment, is being hosted by the Hemisfair Coalition, a group of young professionals engaged in raising awareness of the efforts of the Hemisfair Conservancy. Coalition members will be on site and serving guests of the event during the New Year’s Eve festivities.

Head to the Hemisfair Conservancy website and give $25 or more to be entered to win your tickets.

If you are interested in buying tickets outright, please do not delay in reserving your table for four by calling Shannon Perry at the Hemisfair Conservancy at (210)-238-6598 during business hours and providing your credit card number. More information can be found at the Coalition’s website.
