Celebrate San Antonio’s rich history and culture at the 11th Annual World Heritage Festival, happening September 9–13. This family-friendly celebration invites residents and visitors to honor and explore Texas’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site: the historic San Antonio Missions.
One of the most anticipated highlights, Tour de las Misiones, takes place on Saturday, September 12, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. This unique experience allows participants to travel through time and scenic landscapes along historic paths, such as:
- Bike Ride: A scenic 7, 14, or 22-mile cycling journey that connects all five historic missions.
- Fun Run: An untimed, high-energy 5K or 10K run winding through Mission San José and the scenic Mission Reach trails.
- Walk: A relaxed, family-friendly 5K or 10K walk highlighting Mission San José, the Mission Reach trails, and the historic Hot Wells Ruins.
Interested in riding in this year’s Tour de las Misiones, but don’t have a bike? No problem! Revolution is offering registered participants a day pass for $10 and a free month of riding through their app.
Early bird registration, with discounted pricing, is open until Monday, August 10. Sign up by Friday, August 21 to be guaranteed a commemorative bib, finisher’s medal, T-shirt, and a keepsake passport to use while exploring the Missions.
