Southwest Independent School District will elect two school board members on the May 3 ballot.
The district’s seven trustees are elected at-large, meaning they all represent the entire school district.

This year two incumbents, Ida Perez Sudolcan and Sylvester Vasquez Jr. are seeking another term. Two other candidates, Erlinda Lopez-Rodriguez, a professor at University of Incarnate Word, and Pablo Manzanares a nurse, are also running for the two seats.
All candidates will appear on the same ballot, where voters will select two of the four.
Incumbent status will not be indicated. The top two finishers win outright on May 3.
They serve staggered three-year terms.
Early voting runs April 22 through April 29 for the May 3 election, and voters can choose from any of these 46 early voting locations. Hours vary by date and location.
The names are listed below in the order they will appear on the ballot.
