San Antonio’s City Council District 4 encompasses the city’s Southwest side.
Longtime Councilwoman Adriana Rocha Garcia (D4) is leaving the seat to run for mayor this year and five candidates are running to take her place. If no candidate takes at least 50% of the vote on May 3, the top two finishers will advance to a June 7 runoff.
All of San Antonio’s 10 City Council seats will be on the May 3 municipal election ballot, along with a crowded mayoral race.
Council members elected this year will serve a four-year term, thanks to new longer council limits approved by voters in November.
The job will pay $70,200 per year.
Candidate information comes from candidate websites, filing documents and other sources.
