The proceeds from sales of the Tobin’s event space go directly to the Bexar County Performing Arts Center Foundation, a 501(c)3. Like most major theaters in the United States, using the Tobin as event rental space was part of the plan, Moon explained. It increases its usefulness to the city.

Over the next few years it’s certain that the number of people who pass through the glass doors into the Mays Family Foyer will skyrocket. Thanks to the location and versatility of the space, that crowd will likely be more diverse than your usual ballet patrons, or even fans of former members of The Beatles.
