This Mother’s Day, San Antonio will celebrate all the mothers and mother figures in our lives with a variety of special events for every lifestyle. From boozy brunches and cute tea parties to candle-making and flower-arranging, there are plenty of ways to say “thank you.”

You can celebrate your mom at one (or more) of these Mother’s Day events around town.

Tea time and brunch

Tea party hostess Erica Powers will host two events May 11 at the Tea Blossom Estate, where moms can enjoy tea time with the little ones — or their grown-up kids.

The grown-ups can enjoy a Mother’s Day Tea Party for Adults, featuring time to talk, activities, a fully decorated experience, appetizers and tea facts and education. Reserve a spot here.

Later, mothers can bring their mini-mes to the Mommy and Me Mother’s Day Tea Party starting at 2:30 p.m. The event features a family-friendly atmosphere for mothers and their kids to enjoy quality time with one another. Zocca Cuisine d’Italia will host Mother’s Day Brunch River Cruises on the San Antonio River. Book one of three time slots to enjoy flavorful dishes from Zocca’s menu and the lively atmosphere of the River Walk. A complimentary glass of prosecco will be given to each mother along with a flower.

Learn a new skill

For all the dancing queens, Mission Crafts Chandlery is hosting a Mamma Mia! and Me Candle Making Workshop. Mothers will be able to choose their own scent inspired by Mission Crafts’ Mamma Mia! collection, paint their own ceramic candle vessel, enjoy sweet baklava and sangria, all while singing along to Mamma Mia! hits. For active moms

The “Run This Mother” 5K & Half Marathon is a women-only event starting at Comanche Park. Participants will be given a sublimated running cooling shirt before the race and can enjoy an assortment of fruits, chocolate and breakfast tacos once they cross the finish line. Mothers will be given a flower for their special day. All runners are welcome to enjoy a scenic route through shaded paths. Sign up here.
