A San Antonio City Council committee on Thursday greenlit two initiatives aimed at keeping renters safely housed.

City employees with Development Services knock on doors to reinspect conditions at the Seven Oaks apartment complex near the Medical Center last July. Some tenants had been living without air conditioning for months.
