Victoria Casarez shared that doctors removed four bullets from her 17-year-old son’s body, but another one is still lodged near Erik Cantu Jr.’s heart. The bullets were fired by former SAPD officer James Brennand on October 2, 2022 who mistook Cantu’s vehicle for that belonging to another person and Brennand proceeded to violate many policies in an attempt to apprehend Cantu.
