San Antonio sees 20% drop in homicides in 2025, new report shows

Violence peaked in 2022 when the SAPD reported 231 murders, including the 53 migrants found dead in a tractor-trailer on the Southwest Side.

A report by the Collaborative Commission on Domestic Violence shows San Antonio and Bexar County law enforcement agencies responded to fewer domestic homicides between 2020 and 2021, but family violence-related calls increased over the same period.
