CPS Energy board approves plan to phase out coal by 2028

CPS Energy’s board voted 4-1 to approve the city’s next generation portfolio Monday, which will see the utility phase out coal by 2028.

Following a 4-1 vote by the CPS Energy Board of Trustees Rudy Garza is Rudy Garza is officially CPS Energy's president and CEO.
