Alexandro Flores, the superintendent of Palacios ISD, will succeed retiring South San ISD Superintendent Abelardo Saavedra.

Former South San Antonio ISD Superintendent Abelardo Saavedra will serve as the monitor appointed by the TEA to supervise the board of trustees effective immediately.
