Up for some laughs? Laredo comedian Vanessa Gonzalez circles back to South Texas after being featured on Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel and Comedy Chingonas on Max. Gonzalez will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at LOL San Antonio on Loop 410.
Thursday, the Duelo Fotoseptiembre show features seven local artists exploring the topic of grief. The opening reception is 6-8 p.m. at the Artists Collective Studios on North New Braunfels Avenue.

On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity University, the SOLI Chamber Ensemble presents its first concert of the season, Elementos, featuring Grammy-nominated composer, pianist, vocalist and educator Clarice Assad. The event is free.
