This very evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., venture to the King William Association headquarters on Madison Street to see Hajimemashite — which means “nice to meet you” — an exhibition by San Antonio artist Nanako Pastol tracing her Japanese roots and current influences. 

Opening Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Luminaria’s pop-up gallery in St. Paul Square is She Is • Ella Es, an exhibition of local women artists including Kat Cadena, Manola and Maria Ramirez, Kim Bishop, Anel Flores y más, curated by Andrea V. Rivas.

Have you heard of the Unheard-of Ensemble? They perform at Mission San José Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with music by living composers so new that you’ve assuredly never heard it before. Free! Check the schedule for other performances tonight, Friday and Sunday, all free with registration.

Also Saturday, Bonham Exchange hosts its Pride Pageant, with all levels of performers from drag monarchs to nascent newbies. Doors open at 7 p.m., and performances start at 7:30 p.m., featuring special guests Paige Taylor and Alayna Marquez.

On Sunday, Alamo Drafthouse joins in the Pride Month festivities with a special brunch screening of But I’m a Cheerleader at Park North, a comedy of sexual disorientation starring Natasha Lyonne.
