The San Antonio Spurs continued their annual tradition of dressing up as Santa and his elves to deliver holiday cheer to local children.

Spurs forwards Harrison Ingram and Julian Champagnie put on the suits this time and helped deliver presents on Monday.

Several families were surprised by the Spurs players and even Frosty the Snowman. They opened Christmas gifts donated by Elf Louise at a special event hosted by JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa.

Part of the annual NBA Season of Giving, this event was a partnership between the Spurs, Elf Louise Christmas Project, Opportunity Home and JW Marriott.

The families that were invited are residents of Opportunity Home, the city’s housing authority. They were also gifted Spurs swag bags.

“The holidays can be a difficult time for many families, especially this year as some face added challenges,” Patricia Mejia, chief impact and inclusion officer at Spurs Sports and Entertainment, said in a statement. “Season of Giving is about meeting our community where they are, extending a hand, sharing joy and helping ensure every family feels supported and seen.”
