Scott Field was a state district court judge in Williamson County before Gov. Greg Abbott appointed him to the 15th Court of Appeals. He previously served on the 3rd Court of Appeals in Austin, and has a background in commercial litigation. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and currently lives in Liberty Hill. He is unopposed in the Republican primary and faces one Democratic challenger in November.
