Why should voters choose you?
The majority of cases heard in the 150th Civil District Court involve family law issues, including child custody, child support, modifications and divorces. My extensive experience and knowledge of the law in this area will assist me in deciding cases quickly, fairly and in accordance with the law. As judge, I promise to timely decide all cases based on the law and the facts of each case and treat every litigant and every attorney with the utmost respect they deserve.
What do you see as the top challenge facing our local court system, and how should it be addressed?
Top challenges I see facing our local court system are cases not being ruled on in a timely manner and orders not being submitted to the court in a timely manner. To address this issue, I will provide parties with a ruling on the same day as their hearing or within five business days for more complex matters. To make sure cases do not fall through the cracks, I will set each case for a date to enter the order no later than two weeks from the hearing or court’s ruling.
