Sarah Eckhart represents part of the Austin area in the Texas Senate. She’s a former prosecutor and Travis County Judge who initially launched a congressional campaign this election cycle, but moved over to the Democratic primary for the state’s open comptroller position just before the filing deadline. She won a three-way primary in March to become her party’s nominee, and will face Republican Don Huffines in November.
