Clayton Tucker is a rancher in Lampasas who worked as a water researcher for the National Science Foundation. He is a member of the State Democratic Executive Committee, and he ran unsuccessfully for a Texas Senate seat in 2020. He’s now the Democratic nominee for Texas Agriculture Commissioner, and will face Republican Nate Sheets, who defeated incumbent Sid Miller in the GOP primary.
