April Farris served on the 1st Court of Appeals in Houston before Gov. Greg Abbott appointed her to the newly created 15th Court of Appeals in 2024. She’s from Big Spring and earned her law degree from Harvard Law School. She previously worked in appellate litigation and taught at the University of Texas School of Law. She is unopposed in the Republican primary and faces one Democratic challenger in November.
